Autumn Trends 2018

05 November 2018

The cooler Autumnal days are here and they bring with them some of our favourite things! Crisp blue skies perfect for Sunday walks, crunchy leaves in all the colours of rich jewels, hot chocolate by a log fire and of course some beautiful seasonal flowers.

Autumn brings a whole new selection of seasonal blooms for local florists to use in stunning bouquets. Using their creative flair, florists up and down the country will be choosing the freshest stems, lush green foliage and natural additions such as twigs, berries and pinecones to design new flowers. Keep an eye in your local florists shop window for the new ranges and check out their website to easily buy flowers online locally.

Colours for Autumn

We have seen a wide range of colours being used this Autumn - from rich plum shades, luxury jewel tones, velvet teal and stunning dark petals. Local florists use local suppliers, wholesalers and Holland Flower Market to get their hands on the best stems for Autumn including burgundy Ranunculus and anemones, 'Black Baccara' roses, Scabiosa ‘Blackberry Scoop’ and Amaryllis.

Copper and Foliage

A huge trend hitting the high street this year for Autumn/Winter season is Copper. With Rose Gold being the leader the last few years, Copper is the new kid on the block. Florists are using dipped leaves, cones and foliage in Copper colour to compliment the rich Autumn flowers. It looks fantastic used in Table Centres, Wedding flowers, Christmas Wreaths, and gift bouquets. Alternatively, try using a copper vase or pot to simply your flowers or plants in - a great way to add a modern twist to the home.
